According to recent reports, New Mexico Rail Runner passengers will now be able to enjoy the commuter train's new Wi-Fi system, which is set to begin on Monday.
Moreover, a group of around 50 members had been given access to check the system over the last several months. However, the concluding test stage will be open to all passengers for the next 90 days to work out any pending bugs in the system.
It was also announced that the new Wi-fi service for passenger will be of free of cost. It will be accessible in the trains as well as at each station between Santa Fe and Belen.
Once logged on, passengers should be capable of surfing the internet, can send e-mails and move from station to train without losing connectivity.
While talking to reporters, the New Mexico Transportation Secretary Gary Giron said, “The wireless system will provide another convenience for commuters.”
