Supplies of flu vaccines have reached to critically low level and pharmacists and GPs are unable to say when or if they will receive more vaccines.
When contacted by the Evening Telegraph, 19 out of 21 GP surgeries and pharmacies reported to have limited or exhausted supplies.
A rush in demands from fit and healthy people who even do not qualify for the vaccine has exhausted the NHS stocks.
There have been deaths in the county due to swine flu and NHS Northamptonshire has been working with GPs to ensure the supply of vaccines.
Dr Keith Oliver, from the Mawsley Medical Centre informed that they have limited supplies and there is difficulty in getting further supplies.
Now they have been trying to change people mind to do not get vaccine as they are often fit and healthy or if they do not fall into vulnerable group but are eligible for vaccine.
As NHS has limited stock of vaccines, they are interested to vaccinate pregnant women, the very young and elder people or people with chronic diseases.
