Former Marine Larry Whitten had come to Paragon Inn of Taos in July with a mission to revive the failing hotel.
In his process of resurrecting the hotel, Whitten has abandoned Hispanic workers from speaking Spanish in his presence and ordered some of them to change their names.
The strict rules and firing of some employees by Witten had made the workers angry and they started protesting against him.
Following the matter the New Mexico chapter of the League of United Latin American Citizens has sent a letter to Witten regarding the protest.
Whitten has also sent a letter to the group in which he has put an allegation on LULAC for referring him as a racial slur. However, LULAC has completely denied the allegation.
