Mexico Homex expects 14% revenue in 2010

Homex, Mexico’s leading homebuilder has recently announced that it is looking forward to increase its revenue growth in the range of 12-14% in 2010 as the economy recovers from a deep recession period.

After the decline in 2009 that spoiled the growth of Mexico’s housing business, the financial system is seen developing around 3% in the next year and mortgage lending will also taste some hike.

According to the statement issued by the Homex, “Mortgage lending dynamics in Mexico remain favorable, particularly in the entry-level segment.”

After the world crisis in 2008, the homebuilder’s sales in the country have been supported by the entry level market, which is financed by the government of Mexico and servers low-income Mexicans. Sales of larger homes have been declined.

As per the Culiacan-based Homex that focuses in mass producing homes and selling them for under $40,000 each said, “Our EBITDA margin would be between 21 percent and 22 percent next year, compared to 23 percent in the third quarter of this year.”

In the third quarter of 2009, Homex’s sales were 5.11 billion pesos up by 8.2% over the last year.
