After three editions of the U-13 football championship organized by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), around 75 players have been chosen for the U-17 that would represent the country in the FIFA cadet World Cup in Mexico in 2011.

Presently, all the selected players are presently enjoying the Glass House’s scholarship in different schools all over the nation.

All of them will take part in the African U-17 qualifiers and the World Cup in Mexico.

Talking to media last week during the 3rd edition of the championship held at the FIFA Goal Project venue in Abuja, President of NFF Alhaji Sani Lulu said, “The problem of age cheats will now be a thing of the past, as the data of these U-13 boys are being documented for future reference.”

Further, Lulu added, “With these boys, the sky will be our limit in age grade competitions. These boys will grow to be the next Super Eagles. We are going to encourage them to become professionals and with the education we are giving them, the future of Nigerian football is bright.”
