Mexican recession period ends

Mexico’s economy is hoping for some hefty signs of recovery, and that’s positive news for the United States exports for both pork as well as beef in the coming time.

In 2009, the economy of the country decreased by 7%, based on global economic positions, but because of some major hits like the Novel H1N1 discovery and outbreak in April 2009.

For the last year, Mexico was place on top in both volume and value for U.S. beef exports.

According to the statement issued by the United States Meat Export Federation’s regional director for Mexico, Chad Russell, “Mexico ranks No.1 in both volume as well as value for United States beef exports.”

Moreover, he also said, “We do believe the economic conditions and circumstances in Mexico will provide a stronger foundation for us to do our work down here and try to build demand for beef and pork.”

Meanwhile, he also commented that USMEF has many marketing initiatives underway in the country designed to separate United States pork and beef retail. In the meantime, as per the policies, USMEF is using recipes and other instructional materials to draw shopper interest at the meat case.
